Luka was kind sufficient to interview me for his Medium blog and e-newsletter.
How/why did you choose to develop into a intercourse journalist?
I do not know that I chose this path, for every se. It kind of happened. In the late Nineties, there weren’t a whole lot of women composing about intercourse.
The most very well-recognised types have been Candace Bushnell, who wrote the “Sex and the City” column that would come to be the HBO series, and Anka Radakovich, who wrote for Details.
I saw them much more as columnists and myself more as a reporter. Much less Carrie Bradshaw, much more Gay Talese. The year just after I moved to LA, I bought employed by Playboy Television to be an on-camera reporter on “Sexcetera,” which featured half a dozen intercourse reporters, of which I was one, covering sex news stories all around the environment. “Sexcetera” was like “60 Minutes,” but on Viagra.
Each and every segment we did was about eight minutes, which I appear to remember a single of the government producers indicating was how long it took for the presumably male viewer to jack off to it. I explained my work as “talking to the camera while persons fuck powering me.”
